My friend (ex-neighbour), Joyce, is a freakazoid. No offence to you if you are reading this... But seriously, she scored a freakin' 8 points for the Big O's!! 4 A1s and 2 A2s.
Conversation:
Me:"So, what did you get?"
Joyce:"Uh. 8 points. 4 A1s and 2A2s."
Me:"O.O Wah lao eh! Freakazoid! So pro!"
*Suddenly couldn't form a sentence containing more than 3 words.*
I told her I would get tuition from her if I need help. Especially for Physics. Joyce is a Physics freak. She scored an A2 for Chemistry as well. And to think that last year, slightly more than six months before the Big O's, she told me she didn't know what the hell I was talking about when I asked her about some Chemistry question on ionic bonding. -.-'''
Conversation:
Me:"So you know that ionic bonding thingy. The Van Der Waal forces and the strong electrostatic forces of attraction......"
*trails off after seeing blank look*
Joyce:"I dunno know what you are talking about. Don't ask me about Chemistry. I fail Chem."
Me:"O.o. Dude, you are taking the prelims in like what? Six months?"
Joyce:"Nevermind wan lah." *shrugs*
Me:"O.o Okaayyyy."
Anyway, my school did really well for the O's. I am really proud of the 2005 Sec 4 Literature students although I know none of them personally. Why? Well, only 28 students sat for the Lit paper. I suspect that half the Lit cohort dropped the subject after Sec 3 since there are about 50 Lit students a year. Out of the 28 who sat for the paper, 15 (yes, fifteen, 10+5) scored an A1 and 7 (seven) scored an A2 while the remaining 6 (six) scored a B3! WOOT! And to think they have you-know-who as their Lit teacher (Ask any lit student. They will know you-know-who is. Not gonna name names here).
So now I feel really motivated to do well. Although I have no freakin' idea whether to go to a JC or poly. It's a conundrum. But whether I end up in JC or poly, I want to get less than 10 pts for the L1R5. Prove it to my mum that I can enter a friggin' JC. I can't believe she thinks I'd fail the O'levels and end up in some ITE. Gosh. So much for encouragement eh? Its actually very insulting. Not to undermine ITE peeps or anything, but I can't believe she thinks that I am ITE material! So I got really pissed with her last night when this topic came up (this topic ALWAYS comes up) and stormed off to my room. Not before telling her she owes me 50 bucks for the newspaper fee and the bus pass fare...
