I decided to blog today and not 2 weeks after my last post because school is about to reopen (2 days!). When that happens, I don't think I would have much time to come online and being seen with the computer would be a crime to my parents so yeah...
Unlike the last post, I think I have a few stuff to talk about excluding football. So I think that it is a good thing since I probably won't be mentioning football in this post.
Just 2 days ago, my friend Tina was telling me about her wanting to buy a PS2. Apparently she recently got really really hooked onto Kingdom Hearts 2 (which is cool game) so that got her wanting a PS2 to play the game. I told her I want a PS3, which is being released in November 2006 but I'd buy it after my As (that's in 2008) since I want to wait for the price to fall.
I checked a table of "suggested prices". The conclusion? The PS3 is friggin' expensive. Assuming its sold in Singapore for the same price as it is sold in Australia, you'd be forking out about $1000. Even if you convert the price of that sold in the USA, its still about $1000 (USD$599) and its worse if you convert the one in pounds (SGD$1500 anybody?).
Ok lah. Even if its not a 1000 bucks, I'd expect it to be above $800 anyway. So after much thought, I think I'd might just buy a PS2 at the end of this year (after the Os of course). Although the PS3 would be out, its friggin' expensive so I can't afford it and the PS2 is currently really really cheap. So I figured it wouldn't be a loss. I have quite a few titles I'd like to play on the PS2 anyway (FFX, DoC, KH2 and even FFXII).
Speaking of Final Fantasy, I played 3 hours of FFVII yesterday on my pretty screwed Playstation (One. Not two). I started off at the place I last stopped playing at and the last time I played was...last year? So when I started, I didn't know where the hell I was and what the hell I was supposed to do. But I managed to get some clues and moved on.
After playing for 3 hours, I realised that I still prefer FFVIII's gameplay. I mean the fighting style of Limit Breaks, the junctioning of magic, the upgrading of weapons and the use of Guardian Forces (Shiva, Ifrit and gang). So yeah, I am not too into the whole Materia thing and the Mana thing. Although, FFVII has a better plot and of course a really really really cool movie (It's called FFVII: AC for those who have been stuck in a cave).
Although I have to say that I enjoyed playing the game. Perhaps not as much as FFVIII but it's close. haha..
