Went out to watch Happy Feet with Faith, Tara, Kathy and Shermaine today.
The verdict?
Happy Feet is pretty good. It's funny and at some points sad. There were also a few heart racing scenes as well. Most importantly, there are some wildlife messages in the movie and underlying themes on keeping animals in cages.
I like it.
I like the 5 amigo penguins. They are cool.
We visited Kinokuniya after the movie as Kathy wanted to get a few mangas.
That was when I saw......the Final Fantasy XII game guide.
I am seriously getting hooked to the game and the guide just looked so.... attractive to me.
It was thick and expensive ($34.11 at Kino).
Obviously, I couldn't buy it since I only brought $15 with me. So I spent the remaining time thinking about it and coming up with plans to pay for it.
We also visited the Library@Orchard at my request. I wanted to borrow a Lonely Planet guide on Tokyo.
Turns out that the rest of the world was going there because the guides were all snapped up. When I approached the info counter, the lady gave me a knowing smile and told me that it was the Hols so the Japan books were gone.
....Japan is simply too popular.
I was wondering why the Korea books weren't taken. I mean, Korean drama is all the rage now!
Anyway, I visited the library at White Sands to see if they have Japan guides available.
Obviously they were all snapped up too. The shelf with guides on Asian countries had pretty much all the other popular tourist destinations except Japan. I think there were like...5 or 6 guides on Korea there.
I went to Comics Connection too.
Guess what I saw.
The FFXII guide. Selling at $32.90.
It sounded like a better deal than the one at Kino.
I called up my dad who was at home if he could pick me up from White Sands and bring $50 bucks at the same time (I returned him the money with my own when he got home).
So yes, I bought the book and I am really happy that I did. :)

yep. One inch thick.

Comes with a poster with the License Board on one side. Really huge poster.

On the flip side, there is a HUGE poster on the map of the world of Ivalice. I like.
woo!
Maybe I will go play the game now!
P.S. Congrats to Alanna for your super good PSLE score. I knew you could do it! haha. Told you that you didn't need to get yourself so stressed over PSLE! Hope you can enter RGS!
