A myriad of emotions. That basically sums up today. Well, it isn't exactly a myriad because I don't think I went through many emotional changes (i'm not schizo!) but a lot of things happened today...

The day started out HAPPY. This is because I asked my mum last night if I could go for SA's Literature trip to the UK and she AGREED! She was, as Rachel De Silva puts it, "oddly encouraging". SO yeah, I jumped around, totally estatic because Rachel and Jaime could go too.

This morning for assembly, the Christian band, Sonic Edge, came and performed 3 songs. I thought they were pretty good but I didn't know the lyrics so I couldn't really sing a long. But it was a good way to start the day I guess.

During math and econs lecture in the CC, I almost fell asleep. Many others had already snoozed off to lala land. Sofia, Joanne and myself were playing with dough eraser, making stuff like sweets and a wedding cake. Ya. Like I said, we were BORED.

Later during Lit, I went to hand in the deposit and form for the Lit trip. To my UTMOST HORROR, the 24 places have already been confirmed although some have not paid. So, now I'm on the WAITING LIST. If people do not pay up on Monday and back out, I'll stand a chance.

I went EMO after that. Totally upset. Just a puddle of non-existant tears.

The EMO state lasted for about 2 hours when I decided that whether I get to go to the UK is up to God. It's all in His hands now! So after reassuring myself, I went on with a more normal state of mind.

During the break, I stumbled upon a piece of good news. It is SAJC's Life Concert today (Christian concert organised by the SFC) and so Sheng Kai asked if I was going. I said I wanted to go but there were no tix left when Jaime went to collect. Apparently, Sheng Kai had 2 extra so now Jaime and I could go! And I later confirmed the concert thing with Jaime and we did go!

I also found out during China Studies class that they are planning a trip to China during June or something. So if I don't get the UK trip, I'd go for the China one. But going to UK trumps the China trip any day. Then later, I told my CT that I'm considering running for Council along with many other classmates. She was surprised at my class' enthusiastic response but encouraged us anyway. She will be helping us with the nomination forms...

So I felt happier and the day went on.

Life Concert was pretty good. The sound system wasn't spectacular. The instruments sounded good but the mikes had problems so when the singers sang, there was some distortion. But the atmosphere was high and everyone jumped up and down. Light sticks were also provided so it was really cool.

After the concert, everyone headed to the side gate to exit the school . Turns out that the side gate was locked. No one wanted to walk one huge round to the front gate which was located far from the side to the mrt so everyone decided to climb over the fence. The fence is low and there is a ledge so it's really easy to climb.

That guai kia Jaime felt so guilty after climbing. She thought she just committed a cardinal sin or something. But everyone was climbing. It was quite funny so see so many students climbing over the fence. The teachers saw us but no one said anything.

The rest of the night was spent at some cheap Thai eatery near the school. I went to Kovan station with Rachel and came home from there...

Now, I'm just really really really tired.

(ps. It's weird to type out my name and refer to someone else.)
