Edit:
I took some photos with Photobooth. Unfortunately, I'm alone (save for my grandma). It's a very fun function for large gatherings :)

I really prefer these functions compared to the mirror-image functions, etc.
But those are more fun for laughs..

I'm officially, once again, part of the Apple community.
My mum agreed to get me a Macbook last week and we went to buy it today!

I realize how many white coloured gadgets I have...
I got a pretty good deal for the Mac. Macbooks are currently bundled with Applecare and Microsoft Office since it's the GSS. I got the cheapest model (but still very capable - 120 GB harddrive, 2.1 GHz, 1GB RAM) and upgraded the ram. They upgraded it to 4GB RAM for $138. Pretty good deal eh? I know Epicentre upgrades the ram from 1GB to 2GB for 99 buckeroos.
They also gave me a free sleeve (that thing you keep your laptops in) and a discount on the keypad rubber protection.
While checking out the mice (as in the gadget), my mum was giving a facial card to the girl who served us (she just graduated from poly). Before I knew it, my mum had a crowd of people around her with her giving out facial cards to the employees there (they were all very young). I have to really hand it to my mother's sales and marketing skills (and her bargaining skills too!). Apparently, the sales people there thought my skin was good so they got interested when my mum revealed her occupation and her discount cards. My mum's lucky that I don't have a hideous pimple today. When I get pimples (as rare as they come) they are really hideous.
Anyway, here are some screenshots of my mac in action:

No. I'm not a Starhub user. I'm just sour that the wifi at Changi Airport is under Starhub and I'm a Singtel user. But I think I can still access the wifi as long as I have a Wireless@SG account (correct me if I am wrong).
Want a closer look at that very interesting looking wallpaper? Here it is!

It is none other than the very hot, very drool-worthy Gaspard Ulliel! I tried out many different photos of him. This one looked best on tile mode. The photos weren't quite big enough to fill the screen nicely on their own...
Alright. Enough drooling over my Mac (for now)
Here are some photos from the boating trip over the Vesak weekend (last week):

Barbecued beef.
"as she receives the slab of charred meat on her plate, making it dip a little with its weight so that grease and blood run across it and spread" - Fasting, Feasting, page 165
I really really love beef. And the red stuff is
not blood but Tabasco. And I support female rights and not patriarchy. And I quoted Fasting, Feasting for fun. I don't believe in the values that meat represents in the novel.

My sisters at the grill! And the pit was really small and cute.

Sentosa Advertisement number 2.
My sis and I thought that these 2 shots looked like some Sentosa advert - families running in some offshore island without a care in the world and a baby posing like a supermodel when she's really barely 2 years old (that's my niece!). Other than that, I thought I looked quite unglam.

The sisters with alcohol. And my sis is wearing her daughter's hat.

My sister took a little too much chardonnay. We thought this shot looked like some Carlsberg World of Friends advertisement.

Yep. She took too much.
