So my sisters (+ bro-in-law + niece) and I had what we call a 'Sisterly Sizzle' today.

It's basically home teppanyaki for dinner!

My second sis has been craving for a BBQ but since there was no way we could book a pit by today and I can't eat BBQ food anyway (I'm sick but recovering). So her thoughts gave way to teppanyaki since we own a hotplate thingy. I encouraged her by telling her that we could go to Giant to get the food and call my elder sis if she wanted to join.

In the end, our plan worked and we had our very spontaneous sister gathering aptly named 'Sisterly Sizzle'. For the first time, the cheesy name was coined not by me but by my second sis.

My sis stir-frying kang kong (with sambal) and loads of other stuff in the hot plate

Yep. There was sukiyaki beef and chicken, prawns, kang kong, gyozas, sausages...

It was so spontaneous, we didn't have time to marinate. So we just put in Hoisin sauce (sauce my dad uses to make char siew). So the beef was really sweet and nice. Or we put in sambal.

Now, I need to drink water in liberal amounts. Only problem is that I'm so full from dinner, I can't drink much anyway.

gah. I'm so full. But the teppanyaki totally made my day.
