You know you are totally unfit and in need of gym membership when you can't run 2.4 km without feeling like you are going to die (and that's 2.4 km in 17 minutes)
I'm one of those that's really unfit. I went jogging yesterday and I thought that I couldn't run any longer after 16 minutes or so. And to confirm that I'm really unfit, I woke up with a few minor aches today - that means my muscles haven't been adequately exercised! (I did some stretching before the run)
So I decided that I'd either jog or swim every weekend (like Saturday morn and Sunday morn) to make sure that my health is kept in tiptop shape. I hate feeling like a blob of fat. Ok, I know I'm not fat but leading my sedentary
student lifestyle, where the only exercise I get is mind exercise (doing AJC math papers makes me feel really well exercised), makes me feel like my arteries are going to clog up. And my joints are rusting. And my muscles are failing. Or something. I'm a very active person so I really need some form of exercise (can relieve stress!)
My sis says once a week is too little. Well, too bad. Until after the A levels, I don't think I can spare that much time to run on a treadmill and feel like a hamster.
Lucky for me, I don't need gym membership. I just need to know when the gym will be empty (because I hate it when I go there with the need to run and people are hogging the treadmill!).
Speaking of clogging arteries, I went to Udders with Quek, Sof, Alina and Pris Sam today. We treated Alina to a scoop of CherryBomb because it's her birthday. Udders sells the best ice cream (read: liquer ice cream). I went high on Tiramisu ice cream (it had Brandy and Cognac), Pris Sam and Quek went high on Rum and Raisin (with double rum), Sofia went high on Baileys and Bourbon ice cream and Lychee Martini ice cream and Alina had her CherryBomb (cherries and cherry liquer).
Don't worry, we are not alcoholics. With Pris Sam as our moral compass, I'm sure we'll never be. But the liquer ice cream is oh-so-good! Well, we were a little giggly after the ice cream and made quite a bit of noise (laughter) in the cafe.
I think I found a new ice cream to love. Just as how Alina said something along the lines of "who needs Haagen Dazs?" (and tucked into her CherryBomb)...
(anyone who knows Alina knows that she's
crazy over Haagen)
